A conscious choice
The Columbia Hotel has always been sensitive to the environment and, many years ago, it began a process of redevelopment with the aim of transforming the structure into an environment with zero environmental impact.
The first decisions concerned the choice of eco-sustainable detergents and separate waste collection.
All these interventions were aimed at not further polluting the environment.
The fruits of our land
In addition to virtuous practices to limit the impact on the environment, we also promote another form of sustainability: that towards our territory and the people who carry on the centuries-old agricultural and artisan tradition.
Our raw material suppliers are mainly from the area.
Many of the seasonal vegetables are provided by local farmers and in particular by Enrico our farmer: healthy, genuine and really zero km (actually 3 km!).
Our oil on the table
The olive oil that we combine with our salads and that we use to prepare most of the menu, is our oil: an extra virgin olive oil produced in our farmhouse Collina Toscana Resort.
Bike Tour immersed in nature
With the collaboration of Cicloidea, a well-stocked E-Bike, Mountabike, Racing and Citybike shop, our hotel organizes bike tours for our guests, who thus have the opportunity to travel the magnificent trails in the plains, hills and mountains of our area. and so to move comfortably without using the car.
Throughout the territory, in fact, there are numerous cycle paths that allow you to travel without danger, including the magnificent paths of the Fucecchio Marshes, the Swiss Pesciatina and Pistoiese paths up to the top of Abetone.

At the beginning of 2021, however, we managed to take another important step towards energy autonomy, thanks to the installation of photovoltaic systems.
We are happy to share this milestone with all our customers and we promise you that this improvement process will continue over time with many other applications.

We offer you a comfortable cot where you can sleep, everything you need to eat, drink and do the needs.
With your owners you will be placed in a nice large room and if possible also with a balcony to get some air.
We offer all this without any kind of supplement; sitter dog available (with supplement).
Animals have access on a leash in all rooms of the hotel, excluding the restaurant and wellness center.
We remind you that it would be preferable for dogs not to sleep in the beds of the rooms but in the special cots made available.
